Is there a zero cry sleep training method?

Gradual sleep training

Whether you are for or against sleep training, I encourage you to read the entire blog post!

Sleep training gets such a bad reputation these days.

Either you’re secretly into it and feel guilty about it because of the terrible misconception that you’ll be abandoning your baby OR you’re totally against it because of the terrible misconception that you’ll be abandoning your baby.

Sleep training simply does not mean abandoning your baby, especially with the proper guidance of a sleep expert like myself!

During my coursework at the Family Sleep Institute, we read the most popular books on sleep training and one thing everyone agrees on is that there is no such thing as a zero cry sleep training method.

Anytime a routine or habit is changed, the result may be some protest in the form of crying. However, if you are choosing to sleep train in order to better your child’s health and development, then you can be confident that you are making the best choice for your child, even if they don’t know it yet.

What sleep training books may not be able to help you with is how to reduce the crying that may come as a result of sleep learning.

That’s what I’m here for!

As a consultant, not only do I work with you to choose the best method for your child and your parenting philosophy, but we also get all of your sleep ducks in a row to create the most successful sleep situation for your child. We discuss sleep hygiene, appropriate schedules, and the science of sleep in conjunction with implementing the methods.

Still on the fence about the issue of crying and sleep training?

The Family Sleep Institute has some great articles on this! The most recent article is linked here. I’ve also done a ton of research on the issue as well and would love to discuss it with you to put your mind at ease. Feel free to reach out with any questions!

Rest Well,

Sarah
